How the Adopt a Family Program Works
When you sign up to be an adopter through our Adopt a Family program, you’ll choose how many children you’d like to support. If you have a preferred school, you can note that during registration.
Baltimore Family Alliance will match you with a child (or children) in need, based on information provided by our partner schools. Once your matches are confirmed, you’ll receive one email per child you’ve adopted. For example, if you adopt three children, you’ll receive three individual emails.
Each email will include detailed information to help you shop thoughtfully, such as:
- Age and gender
- Clothing and shoe sizes- Wishlist items
- Favorite color and character
- Hobbies and interests
- Any additional notes from the family
Each school will also schedule a designated gift drop-off day. That schedule, along with drop-off instructions, will be included in your confirmation email(s).
