Signup for Increasing Library Access and Inclusion: A Problem-Based Approach (Oct 2020)
As part of a Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Lifelong Learning Continuing Education grant, Infopeople, the Califa training arm, is collaborating with Syracuse University and Project ENABLE to offer a free 4-week training, "Increasing Library Access and Inclusion: A Problem-Based Approach". this course will start on Oct 6, 2020 and end on Nov 2, 2020.
Registration for this free opportunity is limited to 50 individuals on a first come first serve basis. Please complete the following application by September 1, 2020 in order to be considered for participation.
Utilizing a series of challenge and solution videos, the training will cover topics such as:
how to provide a voice for patrons with disabilities
teacher and librarian pre-service education
increasing access and services for patrons with disabilities.
After the online course is completed, a webinar and online discussions will provide more opportunities for conversation and interaction around these topics. A Certificate of Completion will be provided for all participants who meet the requirements.
