When Prosper Tax Help clients have health insurance from the federal health insurance Marketplace (aka. HealthCare.gov / aka. Affordable Care Act (ACA) / aka. Obamacare), most of those clients will also get financial help from the government to help them pay their monthly health insurance premiums.
When the US Treasury helps clients pay for the Marketplace health insurance, the Marketplace will send them a tax form (Form 1095-A) containing figures on it that they need to report on their tax forms (Form 8962).
The form will come to the mailing address the client most recently used on the Marketplace application, which is often (not always) available to clients in the HealthCare.gov portal.
If clients don't have that paper copy with them when they come to do their taxes, Tax Help Client Service Coordinators (CSCs) are certified Navigators and can help clients download those 1095-As.
Fellow FC teammates from the Prosper Health Coverage program are also certified Navigators and can help clients locate and download their 1095-As if Tax Help CSCs aren't available. If a CSC isn't available, please check with your Site Manager, who can help get in touch with a Health Coverage Navigator to locate, download, and print the 1095-A.

When to make a Tax Help Client an Appointment with a Health Coverage Navigator:
If Tax Help clients' 1095-As are not available in their HealthCare.gov account because they don't have an account or for any other reason, a CSC or Health Coverage Navigator can help them call the Marketplace and fill out a 2023 1095-A manually.
If clients have multiple 1095-As with conflicting information that a Navigator will need to help them understand, please make that client an appointment with a Navigator by going to ProsperHealthCoverage.org and using the appointment scheduler.
When making clients appointments, please make notes about their 1095-A questions, reconciliation questions or other issues in the "DO YOU HAVE ANY INFO TO SHARE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT?" section in the appointment scheduler. It looks like the image at the bottom of this page.
