Teachers and parents can sign-up as champions to support students in their tinkering and innovation activities.  Being a champion requires the teacher or parent to be supportive of the students' ideas, to motivate, to inspire, and encourage them in their pursuits.  However, champions don't necessarily have to be mentors, coaches, or guides in realizing student's ideas and projects.  Champions can connect the students with the right mentors so that the students receive appropriate guidance and support to pursue their ideas and projects
