Soldiers in Tech – NEW OFFERINGS & WAITLIST Interest Form
A partnership proudly led by the Roland Gossage Foundation, with support from the Government of Ontario through the Skills Development Fund (SDF).

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

Soldiers in Tech is a skills and career development initiative designed to help Ontario-based Canadian Armed Forces veterans, reservists, and military spouses successfully transition into technology and related career fields. Our program combines in-demand technical training with personalized career and transition-to-employment support delivered in collaboration with our partners:
  • WatSPEED, University of Waterloo – Upskilling and reskilling programs in cybersecurity, web development, and project management.
  • ComIT – Upskilling and reskilling in programming, AI, and machine learning.
  • Next Steps Certification Training Centre – Digital defence workshops designed to strengthen your digital protection, explore pathways into cybersecurity, and translate military principles into safeguarding personal information, finances, and online activity.
  • Fast Forward Coach – Workshops focused on employment readiness, goal-setting, job search, and workforce reintegration.
  • Wilder Path – Specialized veteran and spouse-focused coaching for personal transition, confidence building, and career navigation.
  • ClearCareer – AI-driven workshops designed to sharpen professional positioning, streamline job applications, and strengthen interview performance.
  • Sheila Fung – Sessions focused on practical AI use in entry-level digital roles and the effective use of AI tools to strengthen professional communication on the job.
  • Virtual Internships Inc. – Employer-led internships with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), providing eligible participants with hands-on, real-world experience in a flexible virtual format.
  • Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst – Hands-on cybersecurity training and immersive learning experiences, including access to advanced cyber range simulations and industry-informed programming.
  • Canadian Legacy Project – National network supporting veterans through community connection, mentorship, and access to additional resources and opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria:
To apply, you must be:
  • Canadian Armed Forces Veteran; or
  • Active Reservist (min 3 years); or
  • Military Spouse; AND
  • Reside in Ontario.

No Cost to Participate:
  • Your education with Soldiers in Tech is 100% covered by the Roland Gossage Foundation. 
  • Training is provided at no cost to eligible participants, and does not impact existing education benefits (ETB).
