General club safety rules
Please tick that you have understood the following club rules which help ensure the safety of all participants.

Enclosed footwear must be worn by driver and passengers on all off-road trips (excluding beach trips)
Alcohol is not to be consumed by drivers or passengers until the end of the trip (or day if camping overnight)
Illegal drugs and fire arms are not permitted at any time
Vehicle must be registered and in roadworthy condition with good tyre tread
Pets are not permitted on club trips.

It is also recommended:

Your vehicle insurance has fully comprehensive insurance and cover for off-road 4wdriving. Whilst on a club trip you are covered by the club’s public liability insurance.
For note: RACQ Ultimate Care makes vehicle recovery, if required, more affordable.
Always:

Fill up with petrol before you arrive at the meeting point and have enough to see you through the trip
Take sufficient water and food for the duration of the trip
Take sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat
Take vinegar for beach trips.

Notes:
Whilst the club has taken reasonable measures to identify and reduce foreseeable risks and to protect participants from known potential hazards, you are responsible for your own behaviour and decisions.
You are responsible for your vehicle, yours and your passenger’s health. In the event of either a medical or vehicle problem, our volunteer trip leaders will help you to the point of contacting a professional but after that the responsibility becomes yours. Our trip leaders are not professional mechanics or medical people but they will try their best to assist you to seek professional help.
In the event of vehicle recovery, it is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to approve recovery attachment points, and where safe, to perform the attachment.
As a visitor, you are representing the Brisbane Jeep Club and are expected to follow safe driving practices, abide by our rules and by-laws and follow the directions of the trip leader at all times.
If you are not confident or do not wish to attempt any part of the event, it is your responsibility to inform the trip leader.
