Introduction:
Welcome to "A Quick Guide to Financial Aid". This is a self-directed learning module and might not be as comprehensive as a more formal workshop, if you have additional questions you can always reach out to your school counselor or myself, my email address is kreeser@wcan.org.

After completing this learning module participants should be able to:
Identify different types of financial aid available to students in Washington State
Describe how to apply for different types of financial aid
Estimate what types of financial aid might be available to you

About the instructor:
My name is Kurt Reeser and I am the College Bound Regional Officer serving Southwest Washington. I earned a BA degree in Cultural Anthropology and Music from Willamette University and I am almost done with a Master's in Education with a focus on Adult Learning and Higher Education from Oregon State University. I was the first in my family to attend and graduate from college.
I work at the Washington College Access Network (WCAN ) a division of the College Success Foundation. I may have visited your school in the past talking about financial aid or the College Bound Scholarship. My job is to help students prepare for post-secondary education including: trade and certificate programs, 2-year colleges, 4-year colleges, and apprenticeship programs.
