2019 Columbia Fall Registration Form
Welcome to the registration form for the 2019 Columbia Fall Tournament, which will be held on November 16th, 2019 on Columbia University's Morningside Campus. In addition to registering for this tournament, you will also have the option of signing up for both tournaments in the Columbia Cup series for a discounted price. Registration will close at 11:59 PM on Friday, November 8th. PLEASE NOTE OUR DROP POLICY: Between now and November 9th, you are free to register or drop teams from the tournament with NO penalty. After November 9th, there is a fee of $35 per team you drop; after November 14th, you will be liable for the entire entry fee. These fees may be waived in specific emergency situations at the discretion of the TD. That being said, if there are any issues which may impede your attendance at the tournament, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate your team. By registering for the tournament, you indicate that you have read and understood this policy.

How many teams are you registering for the National division of the Columbia Fall Tournament? *
You may register as many teams as you like for the National division, but only one of those teams will be entered into the tournament until October 7th. The rest will be placed on a wait list in order of registration. If space is available on October 7th, those additional teams will be entered as well. The National division is intended for teams with experienced and competitive players. For more information, see the tournament announcement, which is linked to at the top of this form.
How many of those National division teams are you registering for both Columbia Cup tournaments? *
You can register teams for the National division of both Columbia Cup tournaments at a discounted rate here. For the Spring tournament, you will be be able to register additional teams on top of the teams you've already registered for the entire Columbia Cup series. Team rosters do not need to be the same for each tournament.
How many teams are you registering for the Standard division of the Columbia Fall Tournament? *
You may register as many teams as you like for the Standard division, but only one of those teams will be entered into the tournament until October 7th. The rest will be placed on a wait list in order of registration. If space is available on October 7th, those additional teams will be entered as well. The Standard division is intended for JV teams, novice teams, and varsity teams without nationals experience or who feel this division is more appropriate for them. How many of those Standard division teams are you registering for both Columbia Cup tournaments? *
You can register teams for the Standard division of both Columbia Cup tournaments at a discounted rate here. For the Spring tournament, you will be be able to register additional teams on top of the teams you've already registered for the entire Columbia Cup series. Team rosters do not need to be the same for each tournament.
How many buzzer sets are you bringing? *
Each buzzer system will earn you a $5 discount on your total entry fee. If you have teams registered for the Columbia Cup, each buzzer system will earn you a $10 discount on your total entry fee (assuming you bring them to both tournaments). Buzzer systems must be a lockout system with at least eight fully functional individual buzzers in order to qualify for the discount. Please note that the minimum registration fee per team is $40.
How many staffers are you bringing? *
Each staffer will earn you a $10 discount on your total entry fee. If you have teams registered for the Columbia Cup, each staffer will earn you a $20 discount on your total entry fee (assuming you bring them to both tournaments). Staffers may be asked to read or keep score; they may be free to watch games if we are fully staffed (you will still get the discount, even if your staffer is not needed). Please note that the minimum registration fee per team is $40.
Has your school attended a quiz bowl tournament at Columbia University before the 2019-2020 school year? *
If not, and if your school is located in New Jersey, New York, or Connecticut, you will be eligible for a New to Columbia discount.
Does your school participate in Regional Quiz Bowl? *
Regional Quiz Bowl is a league for schools in Long Island (regionalquizbowl.org). Regional Quiz Bowl participants receive an additional $10/team discount at each tournament.
Would you like a W-9 in addition to your invoice? *
