Introducing “Get Launched Vegas,” our transformative four-month performance and training experience inspired by the spirit of “American Idol.” It features unparalleled performance opportunities, master classes, and mentorship from some of the nation’s top professional talent (Broadway, Disney, Television, etc.).

What is the age range for GLV? (10yrs - 18yrs *Senior in HS)

We have had artists as young as 10yrs old, but we recommend that children are at least in Middle School to join the "Competition Track" as it is very rigorous and time-consuming. We're simulating the stressful and fast-pace entertainment industry. We want to make sure that our younger artists are fully prepared for the grit and rigor this program requires.

How much does this cost?

There is no charge to participate in Get Launched Vegas!

How does it work?

Artists choose one of the two live audition dates in August 2026 and audition with 90 seconds of their best audition song using an MP3 track. They may also audition on our house keyboard or bring a guitar or ukulele.

What do the “winners” receive?

The four-month experience culminates in a stellar performance opportunity at Myron’s at The Smith Center in April of 2027 for the Top 10 performers. Guides will be looking for artists who are ready to have their own showcase, demonstrating strength in storytelling, audience connection, mastery of song choice, and overall entertainment ability.

What is the difference between the “Competition Track” and the “Journey Track”?

Competition Track: Artists who audition progress through rounds including THE VIP SHOWCASE, Top 40, Top 25, Top 15, and the Finale (Top 10). The Top 10 in the Finale all advance to showcase at Myron’s in April 2027.

Journey Track: Open to any artist who wants to refine their performance and industry skills through free master classes and performance opportunities while fundraising for our nonprofit. Prizes are available for those who fundraise and perform on the Journey Track, but participation does not affect standings in the Competition Track. We encourage all artists to join both tracks to maximize their Get Launched Vegas experience. Journey Track performances will be at Hard Rock Cafe on The Las Vegas Strip.

How do artists advance to each round?

Our Director of Artist Development, Clint Holmes, along with Broadway's DeLee Lively-Torti serve as "Guides" for the Competition Track. Artists will be evaluated based on:

• Performance criteria
  
• Life skills and leadership development
  
• Participation in performance master classes
  

The Winner receives a 3-song showcase performance at Myron’s at the Smith Center with a live band. The 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-Runners Up receive a 2-song performance. The remaining Top 10 will perform a 1-song performance.

This program equips students with the tools to navigate the challenges of auditions, rejections, and setbacks. The performing arts industry is demanding, and artists often face countless “no’s” before success. Our mission is to build confidence, resilience, and perseverance in young performers.

Get Launched Vegas recreates the rigorous audition process in a supportive, encouraging environment, helping students develop a mindset that sees every rejection as a stepping stone to new opportunities. We emphasize self-love, growth, and artistic expression at every stage of the journey.

Mandatory Availability

Participants must be available for all dates and times below, except for the optional Journey Track performances (Oct 4 & Nov 15).

• Artists must prepare one minute to 90 seconds of their best age-appropriate and content-appropriate song.
  
• Artists must “set up” their performance by explaining why they chose their song and what it means to them. Storytelling is key.
  
• Audition with either an MP3 track (sent in advance) or a live instrument. A piano is available, but other instruments must be brought by the artist.
  
• Virtual auditions are available on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by Pilita Simpson.
