Sustainable Development Goals and Youth with Disabilities: What We Can Do?
The Millennium Development Goals, adopted in 2000, covered a wide range of issues, including the fight against poverty, hunger, disease, gender inequality and the provision of water and sanitation. Enormous success has been achieved in achieving the Millennium Development Goals, which indicates the importance of having a unifying program based on goals and results. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015. There are 17 SDGs, which recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
