FULL CODE OF CONDUCT & PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT (please read carefully)

This class is built on play, risk, exploration, and discovery. For that to work, the space must be grounded in respect, consent, awareness, and shared responsibility. By participating, you agree to the following:

Respect & Care for Others
All participants are expected to treat one another with respect, care, and generosity. This includes being mindful of different lived experiences, identities, boundaries, and levels of comfort. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or demeaning behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.

Sensitivity, Awareness & Responsibility
Clown and improvisational work can involve vulnerability, tension, provocation, and failure. While risk is part of the work, it must never come at the expense of another person’s dignity or safety. If something makes someone uncomfortable, that boundary must be respected immediately and without debate.

Instructor Authority & Intervention
The instructor may use pressure, provocation, interruption, or authority as part of the pedagogical process. This is done in service of the work, not to humiliate or harm. If at any point a participant feels unsafe or uncomfortable with how the work is unfolding, they are encouraged to speak up. The instructor reserves the right to stop, redirect, or shut down any exercise or behavior immediately.

Consent & Physical Contact
Any physical contact must be consent-based. Always ask. Always respect the answer. Consent can be withdrawn at any time without explanation.

Emotional & Physical Safety
Participation is voluntary. You are never required to do anything that feels unsafe, overwhelming, or beyond your physical or emotional capacity. You may step out, observe, or take a break at any time. Listening to your limits is part of the work.

Confidentiality
What happens in the room stays in the room. Personal disclosures, moments of vulnerability, and class experiences are not to be shared outside the space without explicit permission from those involved.

Recording, Photography & Media
No audio recording, video recording, or photography is permitted during class unless explicit permission has been given by the instructor and every person being recorded. No class content may be shared publicly without consent.

Safety, Risk & Assumption of Responsibility
This class may involve movement, expressive play, vocalization, and physical exploration. You agree to take full responsibility for your own physical and emotional well-being while participating.

You acknowledge and accept all risks associated with participation and agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the instructor, assistants, organizers, and venue from any liability, injury, loss, or damage that may occur during or as a result of participation.

Conduct, Boundaries & Dismissal
The instructor reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, disrespectful, or in violation of this agreement. Removal may occur without warning and without refund.

Acknowledgment of Independent Participation
By participating, you confirm that you are doing so voluntarily, understand the nature of the work, and agree to take responsibility for your actions and well-being.
