Survey on Vocabulary: Perspectives, Teaching and Assessment

Dear English Language Teacher,
As part of our joint efforts to raise the level of English among Israeli students, we are currently revising the National Curriculum. To that end, we would like to learn more about your perspectives on the teaching and testing of vocabulary. The following survey aims at gathering the said information. It also attempts to involve you in the decision making process. Your input will be instrumental in the planning and implementation of the Curriculum and in establishing a culture of vocabulary assessment, an area new to the local context. We hope you agree to take part in the survey. Please note that participation is on an anonymous basis and should take approximately 15 minutes.

With much appreciation,
Dr. Tziona Levi: Chief Inspector of English Language Education
Dr. Elisheva Barkon: Chair of the Advisory Committee for English Language Education
