Request for Funds 2020-2021
Tech Fund is a student-centered initiative at the iSchool that focuses on supporting the information, communication, and technology needs of the students at the iSchool, we are dedicated to improving the student experience.

The Tech Fund committee members have previously approved the use of the fund to purchase new hardware and software, sponsor workshops to promote the development of professional skills, supply funds for facilities and lounge improvements. To address the challenges of COVID-19 restrictions, the Tech Fund committee has also approved long term equipment loans* and temporary licenses to some specialty software that students might need while attending classes from home.

Students are encouraged to submit requests for hardware and software to support their online learning as well as ideas for activities, events, and projects that may be funded by the Tech Fund using the form below!

*Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, loans of hardware will only be available for pick-up at iSchool facilities. Equipment shipping will not be available.

All fund requests are reviewed monthly and voted on based on fit with our mandate: "[to] directly enhance ICT (information, communication and technology) based learning, research, exhibiting, collecting and administrative services for Masters of Information (MI), and Master of Museum Studies (MMSt)."
