There are many people in our Wellington community who consistently go above and beyond for our children. Our Wellington PTA would like to recognize these individuals for their outstanding contributions by presenting them with one of our prestigious awards.
Please nominate those that you feel are making a difference; this could be a parent, teacher, administrator or community member.
Our awards are as follows:
Golden Acorn Award: This award is presented annually by our local PTA to people who have given exemplary volunteer service to our community. This award is given to honor PTA members for their contributions by celebrating the difference they make at Wellington.
Outstanding Advocate: This award was established in 2004 to recognize and honor individuals for their advocacy work on behalf of children and youth. Advocacy is about creating strong policies relating to the health, welfare, safety, and education of children and youth.
Outstanding Educator: This is presented to an individual who has made significant contributions in their community to enhance the educational outcomes of all children or youth. Our Wellington educators are constantly exceeding our expectations for our students. An educator is not limited to a teacher and may be defined as a teacher, assistant, specialist, support staff, administrator, or community member.
Lifetime Membership Award: The Honorary Life Membership Award recognizes an individual who has contributed significantly to the development, growth, and sustainability of a local PTA or council. It is awarded to someone who has shown extraordinary commitment to the PTA’s vision and mission.
Wellingon Way Award - Parent & Staff Categories: These awards are for individuals who exemplify the characteristics that we value at our school! Nominees can be any staff member in any postion, or any parent or guardian of a student currently enrolled at Wellington. Help us recognize the Wolverines who always go the extra mile!
*You may nominate more than one person per award, but please use a separate form per nominee.*
All submissions are due by 4pm on Friday, May 8th, 2026.
