YETI (Youth Empowerment through Technology & Innovation)
🚀 Join YETI 2025-2026 Youth Empowerment through Technology & Innovation Student Voices in AI Leadership Cohort

Artificial Intelligence is already changing the way we learn — but who’s making the decisions about how AI is used in schools? You should be.

The YETI Student Voices in AI Leadership Cohort is your chance to step up as a leader and shape how AI is used in Santa Cruz County schools.

You’ll collaborate with students from across the county to:

  • Learn how AI works (no tech experience needed!)

  • Lead interviews & surveys with students, teachers, and community leaders.

  • Develop official AI usage guidelines to present to the Santa Cruz County Board of Education (May 2026).

  • Create a student-produced AI Literacy Resource for National AI Literacy Day (March 27, 2026) — this could be a video, a mini-lesson, or an interactive activity used in classrooms county-wide.
