Opt Out Field Trips
For opt out families, we have scheduled field trips for each of the reading and math opt out days.
Please let us know if you can attend. Bring food for an outdoor lunch. If your child needs a ride, email us at houstoncvpe@gmail.com at least two days ahead of time.

We will meet at 11 am each day. Please plan to arrive at 10:30 am to plan for finding parking. Admission is free. Donate any amount if you can at houstoncvpe.org/donate
Grades 6-8
  • Thursday, 4/10: Grades 6-8 Reading- Zoo   Meet in front of the zoo. We will eat inside. We will probably ride the train too. 
  • Tuesday, 4/29: Grades 6-8 Math: Museum of Natural Science. Meet at the bottom of the Miller Theater hill for a picnic lunch before going.  
Grades 3-5
  • Tuesday, 4/15: Grades 3-5 Reading. Meet at The Children's Museum at 11:00 am. 
  • Thursday, 4/24: Grades 3-5 Math:  Zoo. Meet in front of the zoo. We will eat inside. We will probably ride the train too.
