A Dignified Welcome: Our Community Response to Migrant Busing Webinar RSVP Form

In April, Texas Governor Abbott began busing migrants from the southern border to DC. In May, Governor Ducey of Arizona joined in as well. Since then Abbott has sent close to 200 buses carrying over 6,300 people, including children and infants. And Ducey has sent over 2,000 people. The Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network, along with some nonprofits, has been welcoming buses since April - providing respite, transportation, foods, supplies, and more. We have also been supporting the over 800 people who have chosen to settle in the district with housing and other support that they are not receiving from the DC government, who have largely been absent since day one.

This webinar is for people who want to learn more about what is happening on the ground, understand the new emergency legislation and government response, and find out how to get involved!

Una Bienvenida Digna: Formulario para participar en el Seminario Web de Respuesta de Nuestra comunidad al transporte de migrantes

En abril, el Gobernador Abbot de Tejas empezó a mandar por autobus migrantes de la frontera del sur a Washington, DC.  En mayo, el Governador Ducey de Arizona se unió tambien.  Desde entonces Abbot ha mandado cerca de 200 autobuses con más de 6,300 gente, incluyendo niños y bebes.  Y Ducey ha mandado más de 2,000 gente.  La Red de Ayuda Mutua de Solidaridad con Migrantes, junto con otras organizaciones sin fines de lucro, ha estado recibiendo autobuses desde abril - proporcionando descanso, transportacion, alimentos, otros suplementos y más. Tambien hemos estado apoyando a más de 800 personas que han elegido establecerse en el Distrito con alojamiento y otros apoyos que ellos no estan recibiendo del gobierno del Distrito, quien ha estado ausente desde el primer dia.  

Este seminario Web es para gente que quiere aprender de lo que esta pasando, entender la nueva legislacion de emergencia y la respuesta del gobierno, y enterarse como puede participar.
