Code of Conduct (Ages 18-25)

Please tick each commitment to confirm that you agree to adhere to each item on the code of conduct.

I respect people's diversity and celebrate them for who they are.

I respect and use the name and gender pronouns chosen by individuals.

I am responsible for keeping Mosaic safe and inclusive; therefore, I actively help to challenge any prejudice, stereotypes and discrimination as well as all forms of bullying. I am respectful towards mentors, Mosaic staff, and my peers.

I am encouraging, supporting and inclusive of others.

I communicate clearly and refrain from using vulgar or obscene language.

I am listened to when I speak, and I listen when others speak.

I ask for clarification when I do not understand something.

I take responsibility for my own actions and personal growth.

I respect other people’s beliefs, boundaries, and property.

I challenge a person's statements, not the person themself.

I never talk about people behind their back and I challenge those who do.

I commit to keeping Mosaic an alcohol- and drug-free space.

If I am a smoker or vaper, I smoke/vape outside, but I never encourage others to smoke or roll tobacco inside. I know I will be supported and encouraged to quit, should I choose to do so.

I am committed to being an active, positive, and responsible member of the group and carrying out, to the best of my ability, all the tasks I commit myself to.

I immediately report any wellbeing concerns or safeguarding risks to mentors and/or Mosaic staff.

I know that mentors and Mosaic staff are available to discuss any issues I might have. I know that they are here to make sure I am safe and feel part of the community.

I understand mentors are unable to give me their personal contact details and cannot see me in a personal capacity outside of Mosaic programming.

I am mindful of my own safety and the safety of others. I report all health and safety concerns to mentors and/or Mosaic staff.

I consider the environmental and ethical impact of the choices I make and help the collective efforts to make a positive difference.

I am the change I want to see.
