British Science Festival 2018 proposals: Open Call
We are now accepting proposals for the British Science Festival 2018.

Taking place from 11-14 September 2018, the Festival will be hosted by the University of Hull with a focus on showcasing cutting-edge science through a range of formats. Thousands of people come together to celebrate the latest developments in science and to engage in open discussion about issues that affect our culture and society.

Festival proposals should be aimed at non-specialist adults (16+) with a broad interest in science. Festival events will take place during the daytime on the university campus, followed by events throughout the city each evening. Events will take place in lecture theatres as well as in a variety of venues across the city. We aim to programme a range of formats from talks to drop-in activities and creative content.

There is a strong media presence at the Festival and as such we will be looking for proposals with potential news value.

The deadline for submissions is 9 am Monday 19 February 2018.

Please make sure you read the FAQs before submitting your proposal: http://bit.ly/2hyyTM6

We encourage you to discuss your ideas with us before submitting your proposal. If you have any questions or want to discuss your ideas, please contact Anna Woolman (anna.woolman@britishscienceassociation.org).
