The USC Advanced Spacecraft Propulsion & Energy Laboratory is looking for new and enthusiastic members this semester! Please fill out this form if you're interested in joining our team so that we have a way to contact you. No prior research experience is required and we are open to all majors + years.
Our general meetings are Fridays 11:00-11:30 AM and our build hours are as follows:
Monday: 2:30-4:30pm
Tuesday: 5:30-7:30pm
Fridays: GM 11-11:30, Build 11:30-1:00pm
Feel free to stop by any time during build hours to get involved! Our lab is in The Baum Family Makerspace. Note that you must have level 1 training at the Makerspace completed to enter; the Makerspace holds trainings at 5pm every day that you may join. Upon entering the main space, take a left into the student team cage areas, and our lab is on the right with our plaque on the door!
DESCRIPTION
The Asteria Thruster is ASPEN's newest project, starting in 2022. The goal of this project is to produce a solid-fuel adamantane plasma thruster to be implemented on a satellite design. Check out our website:
