GWU Orchestra Solo Competition Application
Announcing the 2026 GW Orchestra Solo Competition!

The George Washington University Orchestra seeks to award an opportunity for a student vocal or instrumental soloist or soloists to perform on the orchestra's April 26 2026 1pm concert in Lisner Auditorium.

The competition (open only to competitors and judges) will be held on Sat Feb 21 2026 from 10:00am-12:00pm in Phillips Hall B-120.

Instructions:
  1. the audition will be about 10 minutes from your piece; if your piece is longer than 10 minutes long, the judges will select which portion you will perform.
  2. the audition may be accompanied, but doesn't have to be
  3. playing ability will be the main—but not the only—consideration; other factors include seniority, track record, balance of the overall repertoire of the concert, and so on.
