Are you a Maine author or otherwise involved in the literary community in the Greater Bangor Region? Do you want to help organize the largest Book Fair and Literary Festival in the state? Do you want to be part of a laid-back but super-productive team? Have you ever dreamed of joining the board of a nonprofit for which Paul Bunyan is the mascot?
We're looking for some talented* folks to join our board!
Here's what you need to do: fill out this form. We'll probably want to know some cool things about you and what you think you could bring to the team.
*Talents can include social media, party planning, sending emails, moving tables around, calling people to coordinate things, shopping, hanging signs, attending monthly meetings, making schedules, making graphics, and being enthusiastic about making the literary community in the best half of Maine better, more visible, and better connected.
Please note the Bangor Authors Collaborative (BAC) is a nonprofit group under the fiscal sponsorship of the MWPA a 501c3. The BAC is based in Bangor and meets approximately monthly in-person on weekday evenings. For most of the year there's not a lot of work, but it gets quite busy around the time of the Fair.
Once you apply: We'll reach out and let you know if we have any opening and then if we do we'll likely want to meet you, and then we'll vote on you joining at the next meeting.
