Legal Video Advocacy Initiative: Call for Filmmakers & Editors
WITNESS (witness.org) is collaborating with legal organizations across New York to support the development of legal advocacy videos, such as videos supporting parole, clemency or sentencing mitigation. Using video in these spaces provides a powerful opportunity for incarcerated individuals to speak for themselves, control their own narratives and highlight aspects of their personality and transformation that might otherwise get lost or diminished in a written packet.

The type of support needed will vary for each project. Some projects only need supporting filming, whereas others may need help filming and editing. In many cases, you will need to travel to a prison for the shoot (could be several hours travel time).
