On-Course Volunteer Description
On-Course Volunteers are willing to serve as a spotter. There will be three (3) days of competition (Friday , September 20 – Sunday, September 22). Spotting consists of staying in a general area on the course to help players find shots not easily visible and mark shots that land out of bounds. While spotters are not responsible for making rule calls, they are integral in ensuring the flow of the game goes smoothly.
Off-Course Volunteer Description
The tournament will need volunteers for specific jobs during the 2019 PDGA USWDGC event. Off-Course volunteer opportunities include tasks such as: assisting with the building of the Player Packs, Player Check-In, hospitality, trash disposal, replenishing on-course water, assistance with parking, assistance with spectators, daily set up and break down, live scoring, Player Meeting set-up and tear-down, and player gathering set-up and tear-down. Although these tasks are not on the course where tournament play is happening, they are still very important parts to the 2019 PDGA USWDGC event! Especially since it is more than a tournament, it’s an experience!
