3M STEM Teacher Classroom Grant Application

Thank you for your interest in the 3M STEM Teacher Classroom Grant! 

This program is designed to support STEM teachers in creating inclusive, accessible learning environments for students who learn and think differently. 

Selected applicants will receive up to $1,000 of funding via DonorsChoose for classroom resources and materials.

Priority consideration will be given to educators from Title I schools and those working with students defined as underrepresented minorities by the National Science Foundation. 

Teachers will be notified of application decisions by January 31, 2025.

Eligibility

This opportunity is focused on providing resources to U.S. public schools (traditional and public charter). To be eligible, applicants must be full-time teachers employed by a U.S. public elementary, middle, or high school. Private schools are not eligible for this grant.

Time to complete

This application should take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. For additional details, please refer to the FAQ.

Application deadline

We've extended the deadline for STEM teachers near these 3M operations: Decatur, AL; Little Rock, AR; and Austin, TX. Applications are due January 22, 2025.

We prioritize applications from:

  • Title I schools or schools serving high-needs populations, especially those from underrepresented minorities.

  • Schools located near these 3M operations: St. Paul, MN; Minneapolis, MN; Decatur, AL; Little Rock, AR; and Austin, TX.

  • Teachers who demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusivity in STEM education.
