Adoption Application Form

PLEASE KEEP SCROLLING DOWN THE WHITE SECTION OF THE PAGE TO READ ALL TEXT

All adoptions (other than farm/outdoor placements) require a video home check to be passed and a minimum adoption donation of £100 for kittens and £70 for adults. This covers neutering and microchipping plus vaccinations for kittens. All are up to date with flea and worm treatments before they leave.
Our adoption process is as follows:

1. Complete our Adopter Application at the bottom of this text. Please note we do not rehome young kittens out of the Wakefield/Leeds/Huddersfield/Barnsley areas as they need to return to our vets for second vaccinations and neutering. If you live out of these areas, you would need to adopt an older kitten or adult cat that doesn’t need to return to our vets for any procedures.

2. One of our volunteers will then contact you to arrange a video home check. This will be as soon as possible but can sometimes take a little longer if we have a lot of applications in at once (usually in around 3-5 days). You will need ID and proof you own your home or have permission from the landlord to keep a pet. Please do not apply unless you have this information as we can not progress your application without it. We do not rehome cats near to hazards such as, but not limited to, main or busy roads and train tracks.

3. Once you have had your home check, you will receive an email to inform you of the outcome. If successful, you will be advised to check the ‘available cats and kittens for adoption’ album on our Facebook Page. Please ensure you read the text on a cats post before applying. Any cats that have “RESERVED” on their post can still be applied for and you will be notified if their home offer doesn’t work out.

4. Once you have reserved a cat, you will be sent a confirmation email with all the adoption details. We kindly request that the adoption donation is made within 24 hours and collection of your cat is made within 3 days of them being ready. We are not able to keep cats once they are ready as they are then taking up a much needed rescue space.

PLEASE NOTE We allocate cats on a first come first served basis to those that have had a home check. Expressions of interest can not be taken for cats, kittens or unborn kittens before a home-check has been done or before they are ready for adoption and posted in the album, it wouldn’t be fair or manageable for us to work that way. Once you have been allocated a cat, the fosterer will be in contact to make arrangements once your cat is ready.

All our cats and kittens are in foster in peoples homes. We do not offer pre adoption visits. Cats often don't behave as they normally would around strangers and due to the number of cats and adopters we have, it is not manageable. Additional videos and pictures can be sent upon request.
