The aim is to gain health benefits for all residents from reduced emissions - Nitrogen Dioxide, Carbon Dioxide and Particle Matter. The current funding for the Clean Air Zone is to reduce vehicle emissions to legal levels. We can gain much more for health and climate from reducing traffic in urban areas.

1. EXTEND THE CLEAN AIR ZONE.  Extend The Clean Air Zone (CAZ) to cars/vans & geographically for all vehicles to South & South-East of Bradford. Include reduced Particle Matter and much lower than simply legal levels in the aims and monitoring. Deter cars being driven into central Bradford. It is relatively cheap to implement but requires support for those on low incomes to get clean engines or transfer to public transport. The CAS is a form of local road pricing.
