Things in La Crosse are going to look a little different next year. We honor the past success and greatness of "Grand Central Station" and "The Class Act", but we are turning the page of the history book and embarking on a NEW journey! More on that later.....
This event is a combination of two events that currently exist in La Crosse (The Grand River Invitational and The Logan Showcase. We're combining 40+ years of competition hosting experience)
Friday, January 24th - The first Middle School ONLY competition in Wisconsin! Hosted at Central High School with an auditorium that creates a magnificent performance venue with our spacious stage, professional lighting and sound, and seating for 800+ people. We provide ample storage room for all of your equipment as well as a full set of risers, piano, and drum set in our warm up room - which is located right across the hall from the auditorium.
Saturday, February 8th - High School Competition hosted at Logan High School. Hosted in the spacious field house, our high school competition boasts professional staging, lighting, sound, and seating for 1,200+. We provide a LARGE equipment storage room, full set of risers, piano, and drum set in the warm up room, and an EXCELLENT flow of show.

- Friday, January 24th the middle school show choirs compete with a special performance before awards .
- Saturday, February 8th is an all-day event where the high school show choirs compete and are awarded in three divisions: Single-Voice Prep, Mixed-Voice Prep, and Open Class. The new La Crosse Show Choir (yet to be named) will perform in exhibition.
- There are NO timing penalties at this competition.
- All groups at both competitions will receive a live critique immediately following their performance. Water is provided on the way to the critique room.
- Separate BAND CRITIQUE!!
- Placement and caption awards are presented Friday evening to the performing middle schools.
- We award placement and caption awards for our Single-Voice Prep and Mixed-Voice Prep divisions during the afternoon award ceremony for the High School competition.
- All High School groups are eligible for finals. Finalists will be determined using consensus scoring. The top SIX groups, regardless of division, will perform again in Finals after dinner. Finals will be drawn at random to determine performance order. Finals results, Best Vocals, and Best Choreography are determined through consensus scoring. If there are any ties, the "fifth judge" rule will break the tie.
- Palu Tabulations is used for quick and easy scoring
- We award TWO "Outstanding Performer" awards for each middle school show choir and ONE "Outstanding Performer" award for each performing show choir in Finals for the High School competition.
- We also offer the opportunity for high school students to complete in our Solo & Ensemble Competition that takes place throughout the day. We provide ample seating for spectators to cheer on and support their competitors. The top THREE scoring entries will perform at the beginning of the final round.
- Our facilities are a great space to showcase your school's talents and provide a comfortable environment for family and friends. We have an accommodating and supportive group of parents, faculty, and student volunteers who will make your visit the best possible experience.
