Fall-to-Spring Room Switch Application
This application is for students in a Fall 2019 assignment who wish to switch to a new Spring 2020 assignment. This form is not for changing rooms during Fall 2019, those request must be made on your Hoya Housing page before the Fall Room Switch freeze begins.
This application will ONLY be considered if:
1. You identify a new spring space that is an open and available bed. If it is not available, you will remain assigned to your fall space.
IMPORTANT NOTE: single rooms are not available for a fall-to-spring room switch; these rooms are assigned based on the single room waitlist.
2. This form must be submitted by NOVEMBER 1, 2019 for changes to be made.
Requests will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Student may cancel their request any time before November 3 by emailing their cancellation request to Residential Living.
You will not be given the option to decline the new spring assignment. Students who switch rooms will need to move out of their fall assignment by 10 AM Saturday, December 22. Failure to move out and return your key will result in a lock change and moving fees assessed to your student account.
The Office of Residential Living will begin notifying students, of their spring housing assignment, the first week of December.

By submitting this request I am responsible for: ensuring that all my items are packed up and removed from my bed, desk, dresser, closet, community space and bathroom before I vacate.
Failure to have your items removed from these spaces will result in a $200 per box removal fee.
By submitting this request I am responsible for: storage of my items.
You must either take them home or make arrangements to have them neatly stored and clearly marked in the corner of either your fall or spring assignment. The Office of Residential Living is not responsible for items improperly stored, moving, or granting residents access to their fall semester housing assignment upon returning to campus in the spring semester.
By submitting this request I am responsible for: returning my fall semester room key to my RHO, BEFORE I vacate. A key receipt will be emailed to you upon proper check out.
Do not give your key to the resident who will be living in your space for spring semester. A non-returned key will result in a $200 fine.
