2026 Studio Policy

By filling out this digital enrolment form, you agree to abide by the studio policies as set out below.

1.  Lessons are offered individually, in slots of 30-, 45-, or 60-minutes once per week.

2.  Our teaching hours are: Weekdays from 09:00 to 19:00, and Saturdays from 08:00 to 14:00.

3.  Please arrive on time for lessons and make sure to pick up students when their lesson time is over.

4.  Books, learning material and instruments (if applicable) must always accompany students to lessons.

5.  Musicanta offers many added benefits during the year, including concerts, workshops, masterclasses, examinations, and competitions. None of these events are compulsory, but they allow us to make sure that each student is developed as a whole musician during their training.

6.  Musicanta is closed during school holidays, and lessons on public holidays will be rescheduled to another day within the upcoming weeks (unless the teacher specifically states that lessons will continue as on any normal work day).

7.  Lessons must be cancelled 24 hours in advance to qualify for a make-up lesson – lessons cancelled on shorter notice will be forfeited.

8.  One month’s notice is compulsory for discontinuing lessons.

9.  Lesson fees are to be paid on or before the 1st day of each month in advance.

10.  Outstanding lesson fees by the 7th day will automatically be charged with a 10% penalty fee of the total invoice amount.

11.  If no payment has been received by the 10th day, the student will automatically be de-registered, where after they will still be held accountable for all outstanding fees.

12.  An initial registration fee of R490 applies to new students, and a R190 admin fee is charged per year thereafter. This covers all free events for the year, as well as any additional teaching material and printouts.

13.  Tuition rates are based on a yearly calendar of 42 weeks, divided into 12 equal monthly installments.
