Watersprite 2020 Committee Applications
Watersprite Film Festival has just wrapped up a wonderful 10th anniversary edition and is now recruiting the committee for the 2020 festival!

Watersprite is one of the world's biggest student-led film festivals. Every year, the festival opens its doors to student filmmakers from all over the world, organises the judging of film submissions, and manages around 20 speaker events and screenings. The nominees are flown to Cambridge to take part in the festival, and the winning filmmakers are rewarded with prizes that have been carefully chosen to advance their filmmaking careers. Past speakers include David Yates, Evanna Lynch, Mike Leigh, Eddie Redmayne and Olivia Colman, and previous Watersprite award-winners have gone on to win BAFTA, Sundance and RTS awards. The festival is free to attend and open to anyone interested in learning a bit more about film and the film industry.

The festival is now accepting applications from enthusiastic, creative and hard-working students from the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University to form the core Watersprite 2020 Team. The committee will work alongside the full-time Festival Producer with support from the professional Steering Committee. Committee members have access to a network of fantastic connections at industry level, which have helped previous committee members to develop their careers.

The roles currently open to applications are:
Festival Director
Festival Secretary
Head of Awards
Head of Creative Design
Head of Events
Head of Partnerships
Head of Public Relations
Treasurer

Details of all roles can be found here - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1a9uuF2c_4vqixr8nrQivn7Ch2EsQ2O-5p-RK9L3qmP0/edit?usp=sharing

Heads of Departments will then individually recruit their subcommittees through a similar application and interview process over the coming term. The full team totals around 50 students.
