"I have been spending a lot of time lately thinking about witness, about how witness itself is a kind of poetics, or poesis, which means making. By which I mean I have been wondering about how we make the world in our witnessing of it."  - Ross Gay
Join Ridgelines Teaching Artist Carolyne Meehan for three Sunday afternoon creative writing workshops at Rhoneymeade Arboretum and Sculpture Gardens throughout the summer. In these workshops we'll take time to slow down, pay attention, be still with ourselves, and find stories in the sculptures and elements of nature at Rhoneymeade. We'll be guided by Ross Gay's notion of "witness as study" as we move about the grounds, observe outer and inner movements, and consider what it means for us in this moment to witness the world.
