Exploring the Role of Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) in Public Sector Construction Projects

This research project, led by the Centre for Construction Best Practice (CCBP), aims to explore the value Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) delivers, the barriers to its use, and how it can be better embedded in future procurement.

The survey is divided into two parts:

Part One captures your views and experiences of ECI through a short series of opinion-based questions.

Part Two collects quantitative data from projects where ECI has played a role, helping us build a robust, evidence-based case for reform.

You will be given access to Part Two directly by CCBP once you complete Part One.

All contributions are valued, and participants will be acknowledged in the final white paper, which will be shared with government and industry leaders.

The survey will remain open until 5pm on Friday 17th October. Thank you for your time and insight - your input is vital to shaping better procurement and delivery practices across the sector.
