2025 Explore Ag STEAM Academy Application

Thank you for your interest in the 2025 Explore Ag STEAM Academy! The George Washington Carver Food Research Institute (GWCFRI) is a non-profit organization committed to promoting holistic health, wellness, and financial empowerment for underserved populations through food research and service-based agricultural education. This exciting, hands-on summer program is designed to immerse high school students in the world of food science, nutrition, agriculture, science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). Taking place from June 16th to June 27th, Monday through Friday, the academy offers a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of food science and agricultural innovation through interactive workshops, field trips, and collaborative projects.Throughout the two-week program, students will work alongside industry professionals, researchers, and experts to gain real-world knowledge in the fields of food science and nutrition. 

Applicants by the time of the program must be a rising 10th-12th grader. The application process for this program is open until April 30th at 11:59 pm. This is an incredible opportunity for motivated students interested in food science, culinary arts, business, medicine, and sustainability.
