MASA ED Talks: 2020 Midwinter Conference
MASA ED Talks allow colleagues to share ideas and learn from each other in the form of short, informative, and inspiring speeches. ED Talks have been featured at a MASA conferences, and survey results indicate that this feature is one of the most valuable sessions from each conference. This opportunity is open only to MASA members.
ED Talks will be delivered during the second general session of MASA’s 2020 Midwinter Conference on the morning of Thursday, January 23. The Conference Theme is “Beyond the Classroom – Educating the Whole Child.” We are asking that each ED Talk topic be focused on best practices in one of these focus areas: student mental health/trauma, school safety, and wraparound supports. It is our hope that what is presented will have been successful in your district and is replicable in other school districts.
Here are the details:
• Four ED Talks will be selected for this session
• Each ED Talk will last for approximately 15 minutes
• PowerPoints of just two/three slides can be used
• ED Talks can be presented by individuals or teams
• The audience will have access to Slido and will be asked to submit questions during the
presentation, I will join you on the stage to ask those questions after your presentation
• A short “table talk” will take place after each presentation
