Cryonics Survey
This survey is only open to those who are registered to be cryonically preserved, or are considering registering. Some questions ask you to assume you die of old age. I realize, technically speaking, that nobody dies of "old age", but you know what I meant. Same goes for terms like "death" or "frozen".
*مطلوب
Are you currently registered to be cryonically preserved with a cryonics organization?
*
Yes
No, but I plan to in the future
No, but I am considering it
With which company are you registered, or most strongly considering registering?
*
Alcor
Cryonics Institute
I am not sure
أخرى:
Which scope of preservation are you registered for, or most strongly considering registering for?
*
Full body
Head only
أخرى:
Why did you choose that scope (full body vs head only)?

How likely do you think it is that you will ever be resuscitated (assuming you die of "old age")?
*
I am virtually certain
I'm pretty sure
I'm not sure
I think it's unlikely
I am virutally certain It will never happen
Obviously there is no way to know for sure, but if you die of "old age", how long do you believe you will be frozen?
*
Less than 100 years
Between 100 years and 200 years
Between 200 years and 500 years
Between 500 years and 1000 years
Between 1000 years and 10,000 years
Longer than 10,000 years
How do you believe you are most likely to be brought back?
*
I will be in my origional body
I will be in a different human body, either donated or grown somehow
I will be a "brain in a jar"; either controlling a robot body or living in the "matrix"
My brain will be uploaded into a computer

How would you PREFER to be brought back?

In my origional body
In a different human body, either donated or grown somehow
As a "brain in a jar"; either controlling a robot body or living in the "matrix"
Having my brain be uploaded into a computer

What do you believe are the largest problems facing cryonics? (select all that apply)
Legal issues
Public opinion/misconceptions
Too much time (on average) between legal death and long term storage
Cryonics companies will eventually run out of money
Cryonics companies will eventually give up on patients
We do not currently have/use the technology to preserve people well enough
Cryopreservation will never be able to preserve memories
Society is unlikely to ever have the technology to resusitate cryopreserved people
It is unlikely that society will resusitate cryopreserved people, even if we get the technology
