Before and After School Care Registration    2026 - 2027 
Students, grades Kindergarten through 5th, who plan to participate in the after school care on Monday-Friday afternoons, must enroll in the Discovery Den program. This district-wide grant funded program provides students with activities and study time along with play opportunities.

Fridays, once the Discovery Den concludes at 2:50 PM students may attend the after school care.  There is a charge of $4.00 per hour/per child for the after school care portion. Invoices for costs will be sent to parent/guardians.  Transportation is not included in the After School Care program.  It is only offered at the end of the Discovery Den session (2:50 p.m.).

Daily parent drop-off and pick-up will require the parent's signature in the lobby.

The River Valley School District's before and after school care for district students will begin on Friday, August 28, 2026. 

HOURS OF OPERATION
Morning Drop-off: Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. 
Afternoon Pick-up PRE-K ONLY: Monday-Thursday 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 
Fridays 2:50 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Discovery Den participants) 
Fridays 1:10 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Pre-K students only

Our district will offer after school care on the 2-hour early dismissal Fridays.
