Belmont University is again hosting the Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair (MTSEF) – this year on Saturday April 10, 2021. This virtual afternoon event (beginning at 1:00 pm) will begin with a brief keynote address followed by judging of student presentations in Zoom breakout rooms facilitated by Zoom navigator volunteers. Each student will have 8 minutes to present their project and 2-4 minutes for questions from judges. All student presentations will be recorded. Note: All participants under 13 yo will have a parent/guardian/teacher present with them during the judging period
We anticipate the event to run until 6:00 pm but that will be partly dependent on how many entries we have. There will be a time afterwards for judges to confer and decide the winners for each category.
Two high school Grand Prize Winners and an Alternate will be invited to participate in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) competition.
There will be a few other differences this year and we will let judges know about those as details are finalized.
We would appreciate your participation as a judge for any amount of time you are available.
The virtual awards ceremony will be April 17 (details TBA).
