Computer Science Concentration Advisor Preferences
Use this form to express your preferences, if any, for your concentration advisor. Feel free to fill in all or only some of the preferences. If you have no preference for your advisor, you do not need to fill in this form.

We will assign you an advisor before the start of the next term. For newly-declared sophomores, we will assign you a concentration advisor as the advising schedule allows, so please indicate your preferences as soon after declaring as possible. Otherwise, for your preferences to be used in assigning advisors before Fall term registration, the deadline is March 15; for Spring term registration, it is October 10. Advisors will also be updated between semesters, so please update your advising preferences by August 1 for the fall term and December 1 for the spring term.

We will attempt to honor your preferences, but may be unable to, due to advisors being on leave, or due to the need to balance advisees between faculty.

Ideally you will have the same concentration advisor throughout your time in Computer Science. However, due to faculty going on leave, we may need to re-assign you to a new advisor.

Your concentration advisor appears in your advising network in my.harvard with the role "Ind Concentration Advisor".

You should meet with your concentration advisor at least at the beginning of each semester. See https://csadvising.seas.harvard.edu/advising/ for more information.

Do you already have a CS Concentration Advisor? *
If you are a newly declared CS concentrator, you won't have an existing CS concentration advisor. Your concentration advisor has the role "Ind Concentration Advisor" in your Advising Network on my.harvard.
Are you a CS MBB student? *
Most CS MBB students have as their concentration advisor either Prof Shieber or Prof Gajos (the CS faculty that are part of the MBB program).
