AlgoSTEM, a registered nonprofit organization, is holding FREE classes for competitive math this Fall! We are offering AMC 10/12 Courses.
AMC 10/12 Number Theory Course Information
This course is intended for middle/high school students who are interested in preparing for the AMC 10/12 contests. You should know the basics of Number Theory (primes, modular arithmetic, etc.) and be comfortable solving some of the easier AMC 10 Number Theory problems. We will cover all of the Number Theory topics you need to know to gain a qualifying score for the AIME and solve many number theory problems on the AIME.
Topics Covered in this Course:
Week 1: Basics of Number Theory(primes, factorials, Legendre's Formula)
Week 2: Greatest Common Divisor, Least Common Multiples, Bases
Week 3: Modular Arithmetic, Diophantine Equations
Week 4: Bezout's Identity, Chinese Remainder Theorem
Week 5: Fermat's Little Theorem, Wilson's Theorem, Totient Function, Euler's Theorem
This course will be held from 10:00 AM-11:15 AM PT on Saturdays: 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16
Homework will be given for the courses. It is highly recommended that you attempt to complete the homework for practice before sessions, but it is not necessary/required.
