WHAT IS THE
IGNATIAN FAMILY TEACH-IN FOR JUSTICE?
It is an annual gathering for members of the Ignatian family (Jesuit institutions and larger church) to gather in the context of social justice and solidarity to learn, reflect, pray, network, and advocate together. It is a place where people are empowered, re-energized, inspired, challenged, and supported by a community that sees faith and justice integrally linked. Usually held in Washington, DC, this year it will be virtual. More info:
The conference is Oct. 19-26 and the content will be virtual, but we will meet in person with our local group from SUA and St. X. We would host sessions with guest speakers and we plan to visit our elected representatives in their local offices instead of DC due to the virtual nature of the conference. There may be a small fee for attending, but once more firm plans are in place that will be determined.
