Hep Free AZ (HFA): Arizona’s Hep C Elimination Advisory Group is a volunteer coalition supported by the Arizona Department of Health Services in partnership with Southwest Recovery Alliance (SWRA), Global Liver Institute (GLI), and Arizona Liver Health (ALH)/VEN Centers. HFA's mission is to eliminate hepatitis C in Arizona through a hands-on, person-centered approach; primarily by preventing new infections and by keeping people living with hep C, along with those at risk for hep C, healthy and engaged in care.

There are a number of ways that you can help us achieve a Hep Free AZ! We deeply value your voice, expertise, and perspective and want to ensure they have a place at the table with informing our elimination planning. Join a Subcommittee:
Our subcommittees are a vital part of Hep Free AZ! Subcommittees work on ongoing, specialized projects. You do not need any prior experience to join a subcommittee. We have three subcommittees that are open to join on a rolling basis. See below for a brief description of each group.
  • Outreach: This group creates marketing and educational materials for Hep Free AZ and its affiliated programs, manages the monthly newsletter and boosts outreach in the community. This subcommittee meets monthly.
  • Advocacy: This group works with community members, local and state government representatives, and other parties to advance hep C-related initiatives. This subcommittee meets monthly.
  • Data: This group works to identify community data needs, utilize new data sources, and collect, analyze, and disseminate hep C related information. This subcommittee currently meets on an ad hoc basis.
Please note that subcommittee membership requires a minimum time commitment of 20 hours per quarter.
