Twin Ports Democratic Socialists of America's Solidarity Fund is designed to provide cash directly during times of need to members of Twin Ports DSA, organizers and activists of allied organizations, and to non-member socialists and fellow travelers. Money from the fund is to be granted, not loaned. Repayment to the fund by requesters is welcome, but TPDSA prefers and encourages that those who receive funds "pay it forward" to others in need at their own discretion. Requests are granted one time per year per individual. 

Maximum disbursement amount from the fund is capped on a sliding scale relative to the total amount of money in the fund; distribution increases as available funds increase and vice versa.

Payments to non-members are available in the form of cash, check, money order, or prepaid debit delivered in person or via certified mail. Electronic payments are not available to non-members. Requests must come from people living in our chapter's area. Long distance or unknown location requests will not be considered.
