The Consortium for the Advancement of Scientific Software (CASS) is a newly formed organization sponsored by the DOE Office of Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR). CASS was established by DOE Software Stewardship Organizations (SSOs) as a forum for SSO collaboration and coordination and a vehicle for advancing the scientific software ecosystem.  A major activity of CASS is engaging with the broader communities that contribute to, use, support, or benefit from open-source scientific libraries and tools.
