Special Election to fill interim and vacant Board seats

At our General Body PTA meeting on September 9, 2025, we will hold Board elections for the following positions: 

- Membership Director - Open
- Assistant Fundraising Director - Lauren Mendonsa, interim appointee

The interim appointee currently occupying the assistant fundraising role intends to seek permanent election, but any J.O. Wilson parent, grandparent, guardian, or staff member is eligible to be nominated for these positions. Please submit your nominations here!

Please submit nominations by Monday, September 8, 2025 at 6:00pm. Nominations will also be allowed from the floor during the September 9th meeting.

PTA NOMINATIONS - OFFICER POSITIONS
Per the bylaws, officer positions may be held by voting members of the PTA - parents, guardians, grandparents, and J.O. Wilson staff. Officers are generally elected for 2-year terms, although both of these current positions will fill a term left open by a previous volunteer, and the new board member will serve out the remaining year of that term.

For each nominee, please include: 
  • Nominee's name
  • J.O. affiliation - i.e., staff or parent/guardian of [student name] 
  • Contact information (if known)

Membership Director: Duties include recruiting families to engage in PTA work, coordinating volunteers and conducting outreach to PTA members. (1-year term)
Assistant Fundraising Director: Duties include identifying and managing fundraising opportunities; building and maintaining partnerships with local businesses and residents in the community; and helping lead the Fundraising & Events Committee. (1-year term)
