University of Michigan Undergraduate Research Journal Interest Form 2025-26
To join the team, no experience is required. The main criterion is demonstrating an interest in research at an editing level. This organization is a year-long commitment, and you can expect the time commitment to fluctuate throughout the year. In the fall semester, you will receive papers that you will be asked to review for APA citation format, grammar, and basic content. The number of papers you receive will depend on the number of submissions we receive and the section you decide you are most interested in (ex., humanities, social sciences, math/physics, or life sciences). For the winter semester, we will be doing finalized touches before publishing the journal. 

The team will typically meet monthly. Monthly time commitments can be expected to be around 5-10 hours. This will include editing papers in your section and miscellaneous tasks such as outreach for more submissions, etc. The winter semester will be more administrative work for the journal, so you can expect the monthly time commitment to be lowered to 3-5 hours.
