Fickle Creek Farm Monthly Tour
From May through October, tours at Fickle Creek Farm offer folks of all ages the opportunity to learn about resilient and sustainable farming practices on a small diversified, crop & livestock farm in the Piedmont Region of North Carolina.

The basic 1.5 hr tours are offered every first Sunday of the month at 1 pm from May through October at 211 Fickle Creek Xing, Efland, NC 27243. It includes an introduction to small scale sustainable farming practices with visits to the farmstead, hoop houses, pastures, pigs, laying hens, livestock guard dogs, and sheep. Per person cost is $8.

Tours at other times can be arranged, customized, and lengthened to include more hands on activities and enhanced learning including 1) Soil Health and Soil Sampling, 2) Livestock Production & Handling, 3) Vegetable Weeding and Harvest, and 4) Grass Fed Cattle Production and Grassland Management. Following all tours, visitors can purchases of beef, chicken, eggs, pork, lamb, and vegetables, as well as beef sticks, jerky, pork salami at our farm store.
