Proud Stutter is raising impact funds associated with its documentary. While film impact campaigns typically start AFTER the film is completed, we want to do things a little different and go on tour WHILE we are making the film so we can get input from our community - YOU! As we know, stuttering is very nuanced and we want to get as much feedback around the film as we can.
Our vision is to go to go to at least 15 cities across the country to show early clips of the film while creating a safe space for questions and conversation. The purpose is to connect with fellow film enthusiasts and impacted community members, and build a speech diversity movement.
We have four distinct audiences that we are hoping to connect and partner with during the tour:
- People who stutter
- Creatives - artists, filmmakers, podcasters, media makers, painters, musicians, poets, writers
- Loved ones of people who stutter and those that interact with them often, i.e. teachers, professors, colleagues, doctors
- Policymakers and influencers
- People formerly experiencing incarceration
- Speech therapists
- Members of the public that care about stuttering, social and disability justice, and criminal justice reform.
By signing up below, you can be part of the incredible community of collaborators and partners around the film. We will also use this list of interested people to show funders that this tour is what our community and our allies want and are excited about!
Together, we can build a world where speech diversity is not only accepted, but celebrated, for generations to come. We can't wait to partner with you on Proud Stutter's tour!
