Artists, activists, students, and community members are invited to submit artwork for the Community Art Exhibition as part of the Hampton Roads Social Justice Conference.
We call on artists to explore issues of justice, identity, resilience, and activism through creative expression. We seek work that sparks dialogue, challenges injustices, and envisions a more socially just future.

Who Can Submit?
We welcome submissions from artists of all skill levels, including emerging, professional, and self-taught creators. Artists from the Hampton Roads region and across Virginia are encouraged to participate.
Categories
Artists may submit work in one or more of the following categories:
- 2D Art – Painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, collage, fiber art, mixed media, etc.
- 3D Art – Sculpture, ceramics, installations, found-object art, etc.
- Digital Art – Digital painting, photography, video art, animations, and mixed media incorporating digital elements.
AI Disclosure: If you use AI-generated elements in your work, you will be required to disclose the extent of AI involvement in your artist statement. Artworks should reflect the artist’s creative input and intent.
The Exhibition: All accepted artworks will be displayed digitally throughout the Hampton Roads Social Justice Conference. Featured artists will be invited to showcase their original, physical works during a special closing ceremony.

- Maximum Entries: Maximum of three original submission per person
- Digital Submission Format: JPEG, TIFF, PNG, PDF, MOV, MP3, MP4, MPEG4
- Submission Fee: None—this is a free community exhibition
