Richmond VegFest - 2021 Vendor Application
Thank you for participating in the 2021 Richmond VegFest!
The Richmond VegFest is an outdoor food festival for everyone. We strive to showcase the multitude of resources available in central Virginia for people curious about moving to a plant-based diet. VegFest is inclusive of all the diverse reasons that people might be thinking of moving away from animal products including reducing animal suffering, improving human health, saving the environment, or religious and spiritual beliefs.
With your help we continue to grow every year, offering special experiences and entertainment for the whole family. Festival admission for attendees is FREE to the public and draws people from across many demographics. Typically, VegFest attracts 10,000+ attendees.
This will be our 2nd year at Byrd Park. The move to Byrd Park in 2019 and to Sept/Oct were enormously successful. We will be building on that momentum to make VegFest even better!
Please feel free to email
if you have questions. We look forward to working with you!
Approved vendors will fit with the objectives and goals of the Richmond VegFest: to highlight and promote plant based foods with the resources that exist in our community and to showcase the underlying benefits of health, animal welfare, and environmental protection. To that end, these criteria will be strictly adhered to:
NON-ANIMAL PRODUCTS: No products of animal origin or use (i.e. meat, dairy, eggs, honey, leather, fur, wool, silk, down, or any other animal-derived material) may be sold or promoted at this event.
NON-POLITICAL: Vendors of a direct political nature will not be approved. Campaigns for elected office and political parties will not be approved. This has been a consistent rule from the festival's beginning.
We do allow organizations that include goals to promote for legislation or political action (e.g., lobbying).
Canvassing on the festival grounds will not be allowed.
MISSION FIT: Approved vendors must in some way fit within the mission of the festival. Organizations that do not fit with the mission in some way will not be approved, at the discretion of the VegFest Planning Team.
* Food vendors should apply early to ensure that all Department of Health paperwork is approved in time for the Festival.
